Hot Weather Safety & Cooling Centers

We are expecting very hot weather in Oregon during the next five days. If your patients don’t have air conditioning and/or needs access to a safe place to cool down, please direct them to a local cooling center:

Cooling centers

  • 211 info has a list of cooling centers in each county.
  • For help anytime, your patients can call 211 or 866-698-6155. For help 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, patients can text their zip code to 898211 or email help@211info.org.
  • Anyone who needs transportation support to a cooling center can dial 2-1-1 and they will be provided transportation regardless of their ability to pay for transport.

Free Back to School Immunizations & COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics

The new school year is just around the corner, and the Multnomah County Health Department is hosting several free immunization clinics:

Updated Schedule - Webinar for Medicaid Providers: Health Equity through Language Access

In partnership with Linguava, Trillium invites Medicaid providers to participate in a discussion on the importance of health equity through language access, including such topics as provider best practices when working with interpreters and how to bill a third party for interpreter encounters.

Camp Noah: Free Camps for Holiday Farm Widlfire Survivors

Camp Noah is offering a free weeklong camp for children in grades 1-5 at Walterville School who have been impacted by the Holiday Farm Wildfire. Activities include singing, theater, sports, nature, science and lots of play.

Tobacco Treatment Training for Providers

Trillium is proud to sponsor an upcoming tobacco treatment training for providers: “You just need to quit! Exploring the complexities of tobacco and nicotine use and how they influence a client’s readiness to quit” with Lisa Carlson, LMFT.

This training looks at smoking, vaping, and other tobacco and nicotine products and explores the complexities of use and how they influence a client’s readiness to quit. There will be discussion around common cultural beliefs, often held by both clinicians and clients, and how those beliefs can impact a client’s readiness and ability to quit tobacco use.

  • Monday, August 9, 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Zoom
  • Training fee waived for Lane County healthcare, mental health & oral health providers paneled with Trillium Community Health Plan
  • Providers outside Lane County and/or not paneled with Lane County Coordinated Care Organizations may participate for a subsidized fee of $50
