Provider Update: Behavioral Health Fee Schedule Changes

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) is making the following changes: oregon.gov/oha/HSD/OHP/DataReportsDocs/October%202019%20fee%20schedule%20changes, to the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) fee-for-service (FFS) behavioral health (BH) fee schedule, effective October 1, 2019.

These changes are a result of Senate Bill (SB) 5525 (2019 session). The rates apply only to FFS claims that are paid according to the behavioral health fee schedule. Trillium Community Health Plan (Trillium) will be making the same updates to the Health Plan’s BH fee schedule. These changes will be made within Trillium’s claims system coinciding with OHA’s effective date of October 1, 2019.

Providers can continue to submit claims per normal processes. Providers do not need to resubmit claims, submit corrected claims, or hold claims. Trillium will initiate a claims project to reprocess impacted claims which have already been processed based upon the previous BH fee schedule. Trillium will begin reprocessing claims with dates of service between October 1, 2019 and March 31, 2020, starting on April 1, 2020 according to the updated BH fee schedule.
