TRILLIUM COMMUNITY HEALTH PLAN APPOINTS JEANNE SAVAGE, MD AS CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER

Trillium Community Health Plan (Trillium) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeanne Savage, MD as the new Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Trillium and Health Net of Oregon.

Dr. Savage brings nearly 20 years of family practice and hospital management experience to Trillium and Health Net of Oregon. Most recently, she was the Chief Medical Officer at Willamette Valley Community Health in Salem, Oregon. Previously, she was a Co-Medical Director at Salud Medical Center in Woodburn, Oregon, and prior to that she held patient medical care positions at Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura, California.

“Dr. Savage’s commitment to providing comprehensive care to vulnerable and underserved populations, as well as her extensive experience in implementing patient-centered best practices and innovative efficiencies across provider groups, will help us both continue and extend our mission of providing the highest quality care for all Oregonians,” said Chris Hummer, CEO of Trillium and Health Net of Oregon. “Dr. Savage’s experience will be invaluable as we continue working to improve the whole health of our communities.”

Dr. Savage, who is fluent in English and Spanish, is also a Volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Oregon Health and Sciences University and continues to work with the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, Salud Medical Center in Woodburn, Oregon.

 “Throughout my medical career, I’ve actively sought opportunities where I could contribute to improving the health of community members by increasing access to care for those who need it the most,” said Dr. Savage. “I’m looking forward to working with the team at Trillium and Health Net of Oregon who are equally dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those we serve.”

Dr. Savage holds a Doctor of Medicine from Oregon Health and Sciences University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Oregon.
