Ethiopian and Eritrean Cultural Resource Center Health Fair

Date: 10/19/22

Trillium was proud to sponsor the Ethiopian and Eritrean Cultural Resource Center’s (EECRC) Fifth Anniversary Celebration and Health Fair! EECRC, located in Multnomah County, provides culturally specific services to Ethiopian, Eritrean and other African refugees and recently immigrated communities in Oregon and Washington.

Trillium staff spent the day engaging with participants and sharing resources. We hosted a Start Smart for Your Baby table, performed blood pressure readings, provided behavioral health resources, and gave away Trillium-branded items along with member handbooks in eight different languages.

The 300 Health Fair attendees also had access to free dental services, COVID vaccines, culturally specific food boxes, and family friendly activities including face painting, games, and a live DJ.

All in all, this was a great opportunity to increase access to care, address the social determinants of health, support health equity, and have lots of fun!
