Intensive In-Home Behavioral Health Treatment
Intensive In-Home Behavioral Health Treatment (IIBHT) provides support for youth with complex mental health needs. IIBHT offers 4-6+ hours of weekly, personalized care. Key services include:
- 24/7 crisis response
- individual/family therapy
- skills training
- peer support
IIBHT is designed to help youth become stable at home or to get used to living at home when they return home from a hospital program.
Who is eligible for Intensive In-Home Behavioral Health Treatment?
IIBHT is available to Oregon Health Plan members who are age 20 and under who are experiencing complex mental health needs and meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Intensive mental health needs which lead to increased conflict and crisis in the home, school and or community; or
- Have had traumatic experiences that are impacting their ability to function in multiple domains; or
- At risk of psychiatric hospitalization or residential treatment due to intense behavioral health challenge; or
- Losing their current living situation due to intense behavioral health challenges; or
- Is transferring back to their home or community from an out-of-home placement and increased services are needed to support their mental health; or
- Is at high risk of harm to themselves or others; or
- Requires an increased frequency and intensity of services and exceeding what can be offered in the Outpatient level of care setting; or
- Other risk factors impacting safety in the home or community
